Anthony Bourdain Said: “if you’re looking for pound for pound the most food, best food, and most diverse selection of food maybe anywhere on the planet, you are most definitely talking about Singapore.” This eagerly awaited stop was fill with our favorite 3 f’s – family, friends, and food. Singapore is a very clean, well-organized city with a mix of cultures. It usually gets dinged for not having much arts and culture but found what we wanted. We met with Margy in advance of her 3 week tour through SE Asia for touring and tasty delights. We dominated hawker stalls, drank an appropriate amount of Singapore Slings, and celebrated Sam and Margy’s birthday over pizza at Mario Batalli’s Mozza (how culturally appropriate). Sam’s best friend Erica and her Huss and Randy just happened to be passing through on her way to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary in Malaysia. What luck! We also got the good local info from Kip’s old friend, Ambika, who have us the proper off-the-beaten path tour. For more reasons than we can count (aside from the crippling humidity and heat), we had a complete, relaxing, luxurious, fun, and delicious respite in Singapore.
